NEWS Welcome to the new Crew 1940 Web site! We hope that you enjoy this new look and will take this opportunity to explore our site and learn more about the Crew and what it's membership is up to. Check below for the latest updates! 3/26/10: Information/flyers for some upcoming trips and events can be found on the left hand side of the home page (underneith the featured photo). This is a new permanent feature of the site and will showcase special and notable experiences coming up soon for Crew 1940 (additonal items can be seen on the Crew 1940 calendar). Up first is the Foothills District Venturing Cades Cove trip, and the Foothills District Cumberland Island trip! Be sure to check them out! Speaking of events, the Crew 1940 calendar is in the process of being updated! Be sure to check it often for what's coming up (note that the calendar will oftentimes be updated with events before the news section)! This past weekend's backpacking trip in North Carolina was a huge success! Everyone who attended had a great time and made lots of great memories. Pictures will be added to the site soon! Lastly, please note that the webmaster will be in the process of moving into his new house (with his wife) next week. Updates will still be made, but may be a little delayed while home internet service is restored. 3/19/10: Photos from Crew 1940's Janaury 2010 trip to Savannah, GA can be found in the pictures section of the site! Look for pictures from this upcoming weekend's backpacking trip in the near future! Speaking of backpacking, Crew 1940 recently participated in creating their very own backpacking stoves with other local Venture Crews in the Foothills District. This was in preparation for this weekend's district-wide Venturing backpacking trip! Pictures from the stove making session can be found in the "activites" section of the pictures page.
